About the program

The APS MCC (Airline Pilot Standard, Multi Crew Co-operation) course has been designed by EASA to further enhance multi crew skills in an airline environment. The course is a combined APS and MCC course which gives you as a student all the necessary training required prior to obtaining your first type rating when joining an airline.


The course consists of 31 hours of theoretical training followed by 40 hours in the B737NG simulator. Statistics show that over 50% of newly qualified pilots who hold a CPL, frozen ATPL theoretical exams, ME/IR and a standard MCC fail at European operator initial assessments. The APS MCC will give you every chance of passing an airline assessment

The APS MCC will give you every chance of passing an airline assessment.

Course Details

The APS MCC is a combined APS and MCC course which gives you as a student all the necessary training required prior to obtaining your first type rating when joining an airline. The course consists of 31 hours of theoretical training followed by 40 hours in the B737NG simulator.

The APS MCC consists of:

  • Theoretical training (31 hours)
  • B737NG Flight simulator traininng (40 hours)

Pre-Entry Requirements

In order to be eligible for the APS MCC course you need to fulfill all the requirements listed below:
Medical Certificate

Valid Medical Class 1 is required prior to starting your APS MCC training. Medical Class 1 will be accepted from any EASA country. Do you need more information about obtaining an EASA Medical Class 1? Contact us.

License and Ratings

Prior to starting the APS MCC training course, the applicant:

  • Shall have a valid CPL license
  • Multi-Engine Instrument Rating

Language Proficiency

In order to issue an any EASA rating you will need to obtain a language proficiency level which follows the ICAO standard. The minimum level required to start your training is English level 4 (4 out of 6).

The next available course start for the APS MCC can be found below,

The final date to apply is one month prior to the course start, however we recommend that you apply earlier to secure your slot. If you’re requiring a visa for your studies, the recommendation is to apply three months prior to the course start.
